Position Summary:

We are hiring a District Programme Officer (DPO) to lead and manage the 108 Emergency Ambulance Service operations under the CAMP initiative in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, field-oriented, and highly motivated professional with a passion for public health, emergency response systems, and community engagement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • MBA in Marketing
    • B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred for operational roles)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in program coordination, operations management, or public health services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the district-level implementation of the 108 emergency service programme
  • Coordinate with field teams, ambulance drivers, and medical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Serve as the point of contact for government authorities and local stakeholders
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure service effectiveness and timely response
  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure proper functioning of ambulances and resolve operational issues
  • Facilitate community outreach and awareness campaigns to strengthen the visibility and accessibility of the 108 services
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and reporting standards set by CAMP and the state health department
  • Maintain documentation and reporting related to daily operations, incidents, and performance metrics
  • Lead and mentor field-level staff, ensuring training, motivation, and accountability

    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Familiarity with emergency healthcare or public welfare projects
    • Problem-solving ability and resilience in field conditions
    • Working knowledge of MS Office and reporting tools
    • Comfortable with travel within the district
