Commitment to Accessible Healthcare

CAMP’s MMU initiative under NHM stands as a transformative force in public health delivery bridging geographical barriers, strengthening community trust, and ensuring timely care where it is needed most. With continuous improvement, dedicated service teams, and robust diagnostic capabilities, the programme is committed to expanding its reach and uplifting health outcomes across the nation.

The Tea Garden Mobile Medical Unit (80 MMU): Bringing Healthcare to the Gardens

The Tea Garden Mobile Medical Unit (80 MMU) is a critical component of healthcare delivery designed specifically to address the unique health challenges and geographical isolation of populations residing in India’s tea garden estates. These units represent a dedicated effort to bridge the gap
between essential medical services and the remote communities of tea plantation workers and their families.

The Non-Tea Garden Mobile Medical Unit (50 MMU) concept refers to a system of medical vehicles dedicated to serving the general population in areas that lack permanent healthcare infrastructure. These MMUs are typically deployed in rural, tribal, and remote districts, extending the reach of government and public health programs far beyond the limits of established primary health centers (PHCs).
