CAMP GROUP with the support of Health Department of M.P, worked to improve the nutritional and health status of children in the age-group 0-6 years, pregnant and lactating mother at Dhanwantri Block of Annuppur District. The motto was to lay the foundation for proper psychological, physical and social development of the child, pregnant & lactating women and to reduce the incidence of mortality, morbidity, malnutrition. This programme included supplementary feeding and growth monitoring and control of nutritional anemia. All families in the community were surveyed, to identify children below the age of six and pregnant & nursing mothers. They were availed by supplementary feeding known as panjeeri and Gourd which was given to them regularly during the project duration. Severely malnourished children were given special supplementary feeding and referred to appropriate medical institutions
